Penguins of Madagascar have arrived!
Dreamworks Animation has released The Penguins of Madagascar in 3D just in time for the holidays. It’s a perfect movie to take the kids to for some special holiday fun. The movie is action packed and filled with silly humor that will make your kids laugh (adults too). The four main characters are of course super cute little penguins! Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private team up with the more “experienced” detective team called The North Wind. Together they try to stop the evil Dr. Octavius Brine, perfectly voiced by John Malkovich, from destroying the world as the penguins know it. The penguins are too cute…..which is part of the problem if you ask Dr. Octavius Brine. Some of the other voices in the film are Tom McGrath, Chris Miller, Chris Knights, John Malkovich,Benedict Cumberbatch, Ken Jeong, Annett Mahendru, and Peter Stormare.
The two ten year old boys that accompanied me to the movie really enjoyed it – it held their attention from beginning to end. It was fun way to spend a snowy Saturday. The animation was excellent —the 3D feature makes for an excellent movie experience. I loved the series of events that took place in Venice with the gondolas.
The movie was directed by Directed by Simon J. Smith and Eric Darnell and released November 26, 2014. Penguins of Madagascar is rated PG and runs approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. You can find more information on the film by visiting their website: https://www.dreamworks.com/penguins/
