I have two sisters and two brothers – all of their birthdays are in the month of December! I’m sure on more than one occasion they have felt slighted because their birthday celebration overlapped the holiday hoopla. It’s not so hard to make those with holiday birthdays feel special on their birthday – it can be as easy as picking the right birthday card!
I stopped by Walmart in early December to pick up four birthday cards and was really impressed with the Hallmark Connections offering. The aisle seemed to go on forever. I had no problem finding cards that I felt were a perfect match for each of my brothers and sisters. I also stocked up on some extra cards while I was there – I liked so many of them. I usually go for the funny ones – and I love the ones that play music when you open them too. The selection of cards was great and came in every price range!
Decorating around the house goes along way to let someone know you remembered their birthday and were not too busy to celebrate it. These balloons on the ceiling of my sisters craft room really made her smile.
A birthday cake, cupcake or their whipping up a favorite meal goes a long way too!
You can also dress-up the envelope of the card or write a cute poem inside – just a little something to make it special.
You can check out the Hallmark Collection here – you won’t believe the selection and great ideas for making holiday birthdays special!
