Joe Vicari’s Restaurant Group Opens Second Vito’s Bakery Location in Washington Township
The Joe Vicari Restaurant Group (JVRG), a Michigan business owned and operated by the Vicari Family for over 30 years, announces the grand opening of their second Vito’s Bakery in Washington Township. The Grand Opening celebration with a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
Vito’s Bakery, with its founding location in Clinton Township, has been providing fresh baked goods to guests all around Macomb County for over 50 years. Started by Vito Bommarito in 1970 with the goal of “Be the Best,” the professional team uses quality ingredients, traditional family recipes, and loyal caring employees to achieve that goal.
Vito’s Bakery offers delicate Italian pastries that are prepared daily using old-world recipes. They offer a variety of cakes, including Wedding Cakes, Traditional Cakes, Ready-Made Birthday Cakes, and Custom Cakes for all occasions. Their pastry selection includes their award-winning cannoli cream Cannolis, Cream Puffs, Pasticcioti, Eclairs, Cassata, Cartoccci, Ding Dongs, “Lobster Tails”, and a variety of fancy cupcakes. Their handmade pies feature their own flaky buttery pastry crust and farm-fresh ingredients. They also feature a variety of Streetside Favorites. These New-Italian American foods create a sense of comfort and nostalgia that explode with unique flavors and can be enjoyed for lunch or dinner.

The 1700 sq. foot bakery took over the space that most recently belonged to Jimmy Dimitri’s Family Dining and is located at the corner of 26 Mile Rd and Van Dyke and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Vito’s Bakery is closed on Mondays.
