We all know honey is commonly used as a sweetener for drinks and delicious recipes. It’s made of 70-80% of sugar; the rest is water and minerals great for the body. But honey also is known for healing qualities and can be used for home remedies for skin irritations and other medical needs. Honey can soothe a painful sore throat, and it can calm down skin irritations as well. What else can you use honey for? Here are five ways honey can help improve overall health and skin irritations:

Honey has been used to soothe and heal burns for decades and beyond. Some say honey can soothe the pain and quicken healing time of 1st-degree burns.
