Reware Vintage Transports Shoppers Back to the 70s, 80s, and 90s
with Rare and Nostalgic Items Inspired by Music and Pop Culture.
Reware Vintage has officially opened its doors Downtown Berkley. Located on 12 Mile Rd., Reware Vintage invites throwback enthusiasts to their first brick and mortar filled with vintage and retro apparel carefully curated by owner, Bethany Nixon.
The newly opened storefront is full of cool items including rare tour T-shirts, nostalgic 80s sweatshirts, coveted American-made 100% cotton Levi jeans, original artists’ posters and tapestries, handmade accessories crafted from classic records and much more. Nixon has been collecting these items since high school, which allows her to passionately start a small business plan for a vintage store.
“It was an obsession back then, just as much as it is now,” said Nixon. And she’s glad that Reware Vintage is part of the resurgence of small businesses in Berkley, participating in Downtown Berkley’s Merry and Bright Shopping Nights throughout MerriMonth and welcoming fellow collectors and nostalgic shoppers to the store on these special nights.
“And talking about T-shirts with people, it’s this thing we all wear everyday but the artwork and the meaning and history behind them… I just love it,” said Nixon, who is still actively collecting rare and nostalgic apparel and encourages those with special items to give the shop a call.
Reware Vintage is located at 2965 12 Mile Rd., from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays,
12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Customers can also shop online at RewareVintage.com.
