Genessee County Parks Are Open And They Ask That Guests Please Practice Social Distancing
The weather is getting warmer, the birds are chirping, and the trees are budding. Spring is on its way! Even though this is true, we have all been feeling the dark cloud over us during COVID-19. Our Governor has put our state on “lockdown” but encourages us to make sure we get some fresh air and exercise to stay healthy.
That’s where Genessee County Parks come in. They are still open to allow us to do just that. Get fresh air and exercise. But as we visit the parks and enjoy the Michigan Spring, we must still be mindful of how important social distancing is.
Visitors who choose to use their trails and visit the parks daily should adhere to the following guidelines:
· Stay home if you are sick
· Avoid congregating in groups
· Maintain a 6-foot distance between others
· Avoid touching shared surfaces
· Take trash with you
· Do not park illegally
· Wash hands frequently
