Receive Free Access to the Michigan Science Center
Summer may signal the end of school for Detroit-area students but learning never stops at the Michigan Science Center (MiSci)! To celebrate Family STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) Day, MiSci, with support from Ford Motor Company Fund, is making fun, engaging and educational activities accessible for all by offering free general admission on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
The Family STEAM Day special activities include:
- Enjoy our “explosive” Kaboomistry live stage show and learn where the fireworks you see this time of year get their colors!
- Check out Spark!Lab where we provide opportunities for the whole family to explore their inventive creativity. Take our challenge to invent an alien or build a droid!
- Make your own slime in BASF Kids’ Lab with Playful Polymers.
- Learn to fold paper airplanes and fly them in our STEM Playground.
- Explore Kids Town with our “out of this world” activities and crafts! Make and launch your own rockets, make a model of the solar system and more!
Free general admission includes 250+ hands-on exhibits, live stage shows and much more. Planetarium and 4D theater tickets will be available for purchase at the box office. Plan on going? Us too! Please pre-register. Pre-registration is required and is available at www.mi-sci.org. The Michigan Science Center is located at 5020 John R St. Detroit, Michigan. Click here for parking information. We hope to see you there!
