If you have a Guardians of the Galaxy fan on your holiday shopping list this year, your job just got a lot easier. Guardians of the Galaxy Blu-Ray and DVD will hit stores December 9, 2014. But what you may not know is that there are a ton of Guardians of the Galaxy toys, clothing, a Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack and other merchandise available.
While shopping at Walmart we came across a display of Guardians of the Galaxy merchandise that included: pajamas, pillows, fleece throws, drinking cups, hats, t-shirts, Nerf guns, large and small figures, costumes, lunch boxes and masks! The display was located near the front of the store, near the magazines.
We also found quite a few fun options in the toy aisle too. There were several different toy guns, figures and a vehicle available.
My son thought it would be a nice idea to purchase the Guardians of the Galaxy Nerf Gun and Star-Lord Mask for his friend. It was a great idea that kind of snowballed into a gift for his friend AND a gift for my son too! We added the drinking glass and some of the figures and will add the DVD later to make it a nice gift.
Needless to say my son opened his already to give it a try and gave it two thumbs up. I love that he took it outside immediately to play. Looks just like Star-Lord if you ask me.
We thought it would be fun to get a little creative with the DVD wrapping paper (this was a trial run since we won’t have the DVD until tomorrow) we added Rocket Raccoon and the Nova Corp Officer figures to the package. I just secured them with ribbon and tied it at the back. A nice little bonus gift.
Look how nice our gift basket turned out! My son keeps begging me to take it over to his friend, but he is sick and just about everyone else in his house so too, so we are going to wait a few days and then deliver it to make his day!
