Last week we attended a Halloween party and about 3 days prior to the party we had not even thought about what we were going to be for Halloween. Last minute, we decided to throw together his and hers 80’s costumes and ended up winning the category, “best overall” in the costume contest the party hosts held. It was so easy to put these costumes together with most of the items coming from our existing wardrobe.
Her 80’s Nerd Costume:
- Dark denim skinny jeans (Levi’s)
- Black flats, no socks (Steve Madden)
- A sweater vest I found at a Goodwill that I thought would be perfect one day for an 80’s costume
- Denim shirt (NY&Co)
- Big neon yellow hoop earrings (Claire’s)
- My prescription glasses with white medical tape in the center (SPY glasses)
- Hot pink pencil case (Office Depot)
- Garbage Pail Kids cards (Target)
- Crimped hair
- 80’s bangs
- Light pink lipstick
- Rainbow Loom bracelets, stacked
His 80’s Costume:
- 2 polo shirts in blue and purple, worn together (Target clearance rack)
- Ripped jeans, tight rolled (Buckle)
- Canvas tennis shoes, no socks
- Sunglasses with blue neon arms worn on the top of head
- Rainbow Loom bracelets, stacked
