Last week, I was invited to meet Catherine O’Malley, who is the General Manager of Fairlane Town Center located in Dearborn, Michigan. I anticipated this event, because I grew up in that area and have shopped there since I was a little girl! I was able to get the scoop on Black Friday deals/steals, holiday hours, stores coming and presently there, & some other interesting information! For example, in the picture above – Fairlane has implemented something totally new! The cement is equipped with special technology that melts the snow and ice as it falls, meaning it is ALWAYS clear and not slippery. This is also located right where valet parking is, so keep that in mind as you shop!

One of my favorite stops was with Santa!!
This holiday season, visitors to Fairlane Town Center can visit Ice Palace. Interactive globes showcase Scrat on his endless mission to catch his precious acorn. Families can measure their prehistoric heights against Sid and Diego, go paw-to-paw with the herd and track down Scrat’s missing acorns throughout the palace. Lastly, children will receive a free gift from Santa!

In celebration of the Blu-ray featuring first-time sign-language interpretation of a feature film, provided by deaf actors Sean Berdy and Amber Zion, Fairlane Town Center will host a Signing Santa Day event on Dec. 6 from noon to 8 p.m. Children who are deaf and/or hard-of-hearing will be welcomed for a walk through the multi-sensory Ice Palace, snacks, performances by members of the deaf community, a visit with Signing Santa and complimentary photo to take home. The event will be signed by an interpreter, and Signing Santa will remain to welcome all shoppers throughout the day and evening.
Speaking of the holidays, are YOU or someone you know looking for a job? Fairlane Town Center has made this process VERY convenient for everyone. Located at their Information Booth, is a book that has all the up to date job postings throughout the mall. The applications, positions, etc are all available right there! They are updated weekly, and are very helpful!
