Each Saturday in October Elmwood presents its Halloween Tour. Come out and hear some of the odd tales of those buried at Elmwood. The Elmwood Cemetery is gorgeous, not to mention peaceful.
The $5 tour starts at 10 a.m. and advance reservations are required.
Historic Elmwood Cemetery is the oldest continuously operating, non-denominational cemetery in Michigan. Founded by some of early Detroit’s leading citizens, Elmwood quickly expanded from its original 42 acres to its current size of 86 acres and became the final resting-place of tycoon and laborer alike.
