I just got new glasses and I am super stoked about them!
I while back I was approached by someone from GlassesUSA.com to do a review and I immediately said yes. I have to wear glasses to see far away, so I need them for any driving I do day or night. I have a prescription pair of Michael Kors sunglasses that I like the look of, but they are always sliding off my face, even after being tightened multiple times. Once I was at a restaurant and I leaned over to flush the toilet and sure enough they slipped right in! I was totally grossed out and washed and disinfected those bad boys multiple times before I could wear them again.
I knew exactly what style of glasses I wanted. I knew that I wanted big lenses so I didn’t feel like I was wearing reading glasses if my glasses slipped down the bridge of my nose just a bit. I had recently tried on a fake pair of those black nerdy glasses and really loved the look. I decided on a pair of tortoise nerdy style by the brand Spy.
I placed my order and was given the option to have them contact my eye doctor or send in a prescription by fax or email. I added my doctor’s info and went that route. Unfortunately they couldn’t get a hold of my doctor to get my prescription, so I looked in my wallet to see if maybe, just maybe I had one. I did find one, but it had expired, so I made an appointment at JCPenney to get my eyes checked.
After my eye exam at JCPenney, they asked me if I wanted to look at any glasses. I knew I was ordering the nerdy tortoise shell glasses from GlassesUSA.com, so I didn’t need everyday glasses, but a new pair of prescription sunglasses sounded good since my current pair were a little annoying. I found a great pair of aviators and then headed back to work.
When I got to work I scanned and emailed the new prescription to GlassesUSA.com.
One week later, exactly, I got a call from JCPenney that my new sunglasses were in. I also got a delivery from GlassesUSA.com! Since I ordered the nerdy tortoise shell glasses online, I need them to be tightened so they wouldn’t fall off my face so I took them with me to pick up my sunglasses. JCPenney was awesome! They adjusted my sunglasses and happily adjusted my new nerdy glasses!
