Gleek Retreat 2011 was all about building relationship for me.  I got to see familiar faces and meet new ones that I had yet to meet in real life.

Gleek Retreat 2011 was located smack dab in downtown Holland, MI at the Haworth Inn & Conference Center.  It was great being able to be within walking distance of great restaurants and fun shopping!

We started the weekend off right with a delectable dinner at CityVu Bistro which is located on the top floor of the CityFlats Hotel in downtown Holland.  The food was delicious and the company was even better!  I had the seared tuna which practically melted in my mouth!

I suggest visiting Kilwin’s if you want your mouth to be pleasured!  Kilwin’s has tasty homemade fudge, hand dipped treats or creamy ice cream.  I brought treats home for the entire family and they enjoyed every bite.  Pure delish!

Gleek Retreat had a great offering of speakers with great topics such as Engaging Your Readers, Running Group & Collaborative Blogs and Organizing Your Blogging Life, to name a few of my favorites.  The speakers were great picks and I had some great takeaways that I have already started implementing.

All in all, it was a small and intimate conference, very low key with wonder bloggers.  I did a little recruiting into my Social Fabric community, got some of our existing community members reengaged and met some members that I had not met face to face yet.

Courtney – I’m so glad that you had an awesome time! It was so much fun seeing you again — and so happy that you learned a lot over the weekend & are implementing it already! I have yet to do that! 🙂

It was very nice to meet you in person!

Love City Vu. My only other stop in Holland in my life was for a meeting there and the food was wonderful.
