The Oakland County Health Division is asking school districts to remind parents that controlling the spread of seasonal flu is just as important as controlling the spread of the H1N1 flu. Oakland County is still waiting for word about the availability of the H1N1 vaccination, but are encouraging individuals to be vaccinated against seasonal flu now.

Seasonal flu shots will be available at Oakland County Health Division offices beginning on the following dates:
- Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in Pontiac: 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., in the Oakland County Complex, Bldg. 36 East
- Tuesday, September 29, 2009 in Walled Lake: 1010 E. West Maple Rd. at Pontiac Trail
- Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Southfield: 27725 Greenfield Rd at Catalpa
Seasonal flu shots will be available at the following offsite locations on the following dates:
