TreeRunner Adventure Parks Get Permission from State of Michigan to Reopen

TreeRunner Adventure Parks have all been cleared by the state of Michigan to reopen immediately with social distancing guidelines in place. The park is now open Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The park has implemented precautions such as deeply reducing total capacity, offering single-use gloves for all climbers, installation of hand sanitizing stations throughout the park, and requiring guests and staff to have temperature checks before entering the park. Other precautions include:

  • Hand sanitizing stations
  • An increase in cleaning and disinfecting protocols of all equipment and restrooms.
  • Face coverings required of all climbers and staff.
  • Cashless payments and “no touch” policies where possible.
  • Offering one-time use gloves for climbers.
  • One person at a time on a platform.

Guests and staff are encouraged to stay home and will not be admitted if
they are showing signs of illness or have been in contact with an individual who is ill. Guests can check TreeRunnerWestBloomfield.com , Facebook, and Instagram for the most up to date information regarding hours of operation.

TreeRunner Adventure Parks are not one single aerial treetop trail but a variety of different, color-coded aerial trails of differing challenge levels, beginner through expert, that climbers choose from depending on their age or climbing experience. These trails consist of platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood, and rope to form crossings of different kinds including the ever-popular zip lines. Climbers wear harnesses that are doubly secured to safety cables using the Park’s “always locked on” system of interlocking safety clips. Before venturing onto the trails climbers receive an interactive orientation and practice session.

TreeRunner West Bloomfield Adventure Park is located at 6600 West Maple
Road on the campus of the Jewish Community Center. TreeRunner Rochester is located at 7553 Meadow Brook Rd., Rochester on the campus of Oakland University. For the month of July, get 20% off weekday reservations before noon. Use code EARLYBIRD20 at checkout.
