“Ring for Bling” Offers Salvation Army Volunteer Bell Ringers Opportunity to Win a Diamond Necklace

The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division Teams up with Lucido Fine Jewelry

The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division has partnered with iHeart Media for a new volunteer recruitment initiative, “Ring for Bling,” offering metro Detroiters a chance to win an authentic diamond necklace from Lucido Fine Jewelry every time they volunteer as a red kettle bell ringer.

For every red kettle shift a volunteer completes, they will earn one entry into a drawing to win a Gabriel NY diamond necklace valued at over $6,000. One entry will be earned for every two-hour shift worked, and there is no limit to the number of entries one individual can earn. At the conclusion of the 2018 Red Kettle fundraising campaign, a drawing will be conducted and one lucky winner will go home with the necklace.

Interested in volunteering? You can register for a volunteer bell ringer shift at www.ringbell.org and select the shift and location that works with your schedule. Volunteer bell ringer shifts begin Friday, Nov. 9 and run through Monday, Dec. 24, excluding Thanksgiving and Sundays. Before your shift, bell ringers can download your entry form from www.ringbell.org, fill it out and place it in your red kettle at the end of your volunteer shift. The more you ring, the more chances at bling!

Funds raised by The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit’s Red Kettle campaign provide more than feeding and sheltering those in need; donations also support critical social services and programs throughout the year including outdoor and educational opportunities for children, Pathway of Hope, William Booth Legal Aid Clinic, Emergency Disaster Services and more.
