Metro Parent ParentEd Talks: Learning From the Past: Why Educating Kids on Race Matters

Metro Parent is offering a free virtual event to offer parents a powerful look at why teaching about racial bias and the history of race and racism – and teaching it – is crucial. The virtual event will be held Sept 23, 2021 at 4:00 pm.

The educational event is hosted by ParentMap with MetroParent magazine. Two leading scholars, Khalil Gibran Muhammad, and Jeffery Robinson will give the education and lead discussions on race, inequality, and criminal justice. This event is not for children, but for parents and geared to help adults and parents alike learn about why racial bias and the history of race and racism matter in our classrooms — from kindergarten and beyond.

Guests are asked to please register in advance. Click HERE to register.
