We Love Science!
The Michigan Science Center (MiSci) is turning 5! Celebrate this milestone birthday on Tuesday, December 26th with free general admission for the whole family. Free admission gives visitors access to 1001 Inventions: Untold Stories from a Golden Age of Innovation, an international award-winning exhibition; 250+ hands-on activities, special activities and demonstrations; and much more!
The Michigan Science Center’s vision is to empower and enrich all children and all communities with STEM. Over the past five years, the Michigan Science Center has provided free general admission to hundreds of thousands of under-served students, hosted award-winning traveling exhibits, inspired hundreds of aspiring scientists with The STEMinista Project, brought hands-on science experiences to 47 counties across the state, launched a new distance learning program and more. In addition, while schools are on holiday break, MiSci has extended its hours of operation. Special holiday hours are:
- December 26 – 29: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- December 30: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- December 31: 12 – 6 p.m.
- January 1: Closed for New Year’s holiday
- January 2 – 5: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- January 6: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- January 7: 12 – 6 p.m.
