The third week in August marks the annual Dream Cruise held along the Woodward Corridor, that’s this weekend. Saturday, August 15, 2015 will be the 21st annual Dream Cruise. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
This is such a fun event to attend – the cars, trucks and other vehicles that come down Woodward are like watching a mobile art show. I like going and I am not even a car nut! You can tell the owners of these vehicles really love this event.
The Woodward Dream Cruise is the world’s largest one-day celebration of classic car culture that attracts over 1 million visitors, and more than 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles.
We were in the Royal Oak area last weekend, and the cruisers and the spectators were already out enjoying the weather and the show. It’s easy to attend this event, just find a spot to watch, plunk down your chair and enjoy. Last year we found our spot a little farther north, up near Square Lake Road and it worked out fine. Keep in mind that traffic gets really heavy so plan accordingly (I know people that dread the event because of all the traffic congestion).
Here are a few ways to connect with social media so you don’t miss out on anything. You can also find tons of useful information on events, routes and directions.
