Day of Positivity Hits Detroit!
Spongebob Squarepants Day of Positivity hits Detroit Monday – January 5, 2015. The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie: SPONGE OUT OF WATER and Emagine Entertainment have created a week long celebration of positivity with kickoff events starting on Monday January 5th! The SPONGEBOB SQAURE PANTS MOVIE: SPONGE OUT OF WATER will be released in theatres on February 6, 2015.
WHAT: SpongeBob SquarePants is taking the dreaded first Monday of the New Year and turning it around to celebrate his best quality, POSITIVITY. In honor of this national event, SpongeBob SquarePants and Emagine Entertainment will be holding a weeklong promotion to give back to the community with a special SpongeBob SquarePants Pants Donation Drive six Emagine Theaters in Metro Detroit. Movie goers that donate new or gently used pants, slacks, and/or snow pants will receive a free popcorn voucher good at participating Emagine Entertainment locations. This promotion will run from Monday, January 5th through Sunday January 11th at Emagine Entertainment locations in Novi, Canton, Woodhaven, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak and Macomb.
The official SpongeBob SquarePants Day of Positivity party will be taking place on Monday January 5, 2015 at 6 p.m. at the Novi Emagine Theatre. This party will include SpongeBob SquarePants games, giveaways, and a special screening of the 2004 film, THE SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS MOVIE. The party will be hosted by Hot 107.5 FM DJ Unknowcell and will include spinning from ten year old Michigan Whiz Kid, DJ SuperClark. Come out to dance, play games and help spread positivity.
This FREE event is open to kids of all ages but attendees are encouraged to bring a pair of pants to donate.
