Big Bright Lights – Downtown Rochester lit up to the maximum beginning December 2nd and runs through January 5,2014. You can also plan on attending Lagniappe on the evening of December 2nd – the lights of 2013 make their debut around 7:00 pm. 38th Annual Potters Market – The event is held at 876 Horace Brown Drive, Madison Heights, MI 48067. This location is off 13 Mile Road between John R and Stephenson Highway. Shop this huge pottery sale for one of a kind gifts or holiday pottery items. Admission is free! The sale dates are Friday December 6 (10:00 am until 8:00 pm), Saturday December 7th (10:00 am until 6:00 pm) and Sunday December 8th (10:00 am until 5:00 pm). No Strollers. Santa Visit and the Old Fashioned Christmas at Van Hoosen Farms in Rochester Hills. Santa is scheduled to visit on December 7th and tickets are priced between $4- $7 dollars. The Incredible Nutcracker presented by 2nd Street Studio of Dance on December 14th at 7:00 pm. This event is being held at Stoney Creek High School. Tickets run from $10-$12. For more information email info@2ndstreetdance.com
The Historic Boston Edison Holiday Home Tour – one of my all time favorite events! This years date is December 15th. Tickets are $25 each and must be purchased in advance (they sell-out). Story Time with Santa and his Live Reindeer at the Nature Center at Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve in Rochester. The event is scheduled for December 15, 2013 and reservations are limited and required. Forms can be found on the website: https://www.DinosaurHillFriends.org or at the Nature Center Office (located at 333 North Hill Circle). The cost is $7 per child.
