Who doesn’t love getting all the little goodies in their stocking on Christmas morning? I enjoy picking up little things here and there in the month leading up to the Big Day – some are cheesy, some are funny and some are just plain useful.
This year, like every year before, there will be a new toothbrush in his stocking. I give my son a new toothbrush every year for Christmas and then again on his birthday in June. We really try to promote good oral hygiene – and so far so good – no cavities, and he’s eight years old!
This year’s model is the Spongebob Squarepants battery operated one by Colgate. I am also including a tube of toothpaste. Colgate offers many different toothbrushes that make it fun for kids to brush. Some are manual and some are battery operated, some have nickelodeon characters and some don’t. They have a really cute Spongebob Squarepants or Dora the Explorer Holiday Pack that includes the brush and toothpaste. I couldn’t find the gift set on my shopping trip to Walmart so I purchased the items individually and will wrap them together. The store was packed with so many holiday items from toys to baking!
Initially it may not be his favorite item in the stocking….but if it helps prevent a cavity from forming your child will be OH SO HAPPY (me too)!
I went for the battery operated model since I think it does a better job of cleaning teeth and my son seems to brush longer when using it. I think a toothbrush makes an excellent stocking stuffer, it’s practical and Colgate also makes it fun.
You can connect with Colgate on Facebook, Twitter or on their website for great product information and tips for great oral hygiene.
There will be a #HolidaySmiles Twitter party on November 30th from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. EST.
