Don’t forget about the 59th Annual Hometown Christmas Parade this Sunday (December 5th) in downtown Rochester. This year’s theme is Candy Lane on Main. The parade starts at the north end of town around 1:45 and goes through down town – it usually lasts about two hours.
People start claiming their viewing spot 1-2 hours prior to the start of the parade. Remember to dress warm and think about taking the free shuttle service at the Chase Bank on Walton. The roads around the downtown area are closed off around 1:00 so plan your trip accordingly.
Watching the parade is always fun for the kids and adults. Tons of floats, animals, dancers and marching bands —- most importantly it ends with the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus!
