We have been talking about backing up our computers since my 7 year old was born and it’s all been just talk. Then, it happened that the company I work for, Collective Bias, needed me to travel to Utah for Bloggy Bootcamp to be a representative for one of our clients, Seagate.
Seagate is the maker of external hard drives, so prior to my travels, I was sent the Seagate Go Flex external hard drive so that I could familiarize myself with the product. I couldn’t believe how easy the Seagate GoFlex was to use. All I had to do was plug it into my laptop, download the software, register the product and then back up my computer.
I think if I had known previously how easy it was to back up my important photos, videos, documents, ect, I would have done it a long time ago. I’m LUCKY I have never lost anything and have never suffered a computer crash. I know I would be pretty devastated if I had.
Part of my job was to film people telling me their Horror Stories from losing important data from their computers. My heart broke over and over as I heard stories of years lost that can never be recovered. Heartbreaking!
I now feel confident that I’m all backed up!
Disclosure: Seagate is a client and I’m sure they will be thrilled I wrote about my experience, but these opinions are my own.
