The Rainbow Preschool Program is sponsored by the City of Troy Parks and Recreation Department and is licensed by the State of Michigan. The Rainbow Program is designed to enhance socialization, group interaction, and to provide a learning experience through play. Classes meet 2-3 times per week for 2½ hours. The program provides for the emotional growth of the child as the child moves from a protected individualized home experience to a group experience without being accompanied by a parent.
Eligibility: Must be 3-5 by 12/1/10**
Your child will participate in many fun-filled learning activities in a warm, safe, loving atmosphere. Sessions begin in September and end in late May/June. To enter the 4-5 year old program, the child must be 4 years old by December 1, 2010 or 3 by December 1, 2010 to register in the 3 – 4 year old program.
***All students must be able to take care of their own bathroom needs (toilet trained) to enter the program.***
Activities: The program for 3-4 year olds will consist of organized play stressing sharing and social interaction. Children will participate in science, sensory table, finger plays, rhythm band, outdoor play, singing, arts and crafts, drama, and fine and gross motor skill activities.
