Oakland County Parks and Recreation Junior League Program offers kids ages 6 – 15 an opportunity to learn golf fundamentals and course etiquette during a six-week session.
Three age divisions are available: 6-9; 10-12; and 13-15 years. Participants will have an opportunity to play 5-9 holes of golf depending on the age division. The program runs from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, June 21 to Aug. 2 (no session July 5) at Glen Oaks Golf Course in Farmington Hills and 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, June 22 through July 27 at the White Lake Oaks Golf Course in White Lake.

Junior golfers (those under 18) are also invited to participate in the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Junior Golf Tournament. The tournament schedule is as follows:
Sunday, June 27
Cost is $17/child age 10 and under for 9 holes; or $24/child age 11 and older for 18 holes.
White Lake Oaks Golf Course, located at 991 Williams Lake Road in White Lake.
Sunday, July 25
Cost is $17/person for 9 holes.
Red Oaks Golf Course, located at 9600 John R Road in Madison Heights.
Sunday, August 8
Cost is $17/child age 10 and under for 9 holes; or $24/child age 11 and older for 18 holes.
Springfield Oaks Golf Course, located at 12450 Andersonville Road in Davisburg.
Tee times will be assigned between 2 – 5 p.m. Participants will be notified of start times within two days after registration has closed. Check-in is 30 minutes prior to assigned tee time.
All players 10 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a caddie that is 16 years or older. All players are encouraged to have caddies to help them play their best. Trophies will be awarded to the first and second places in each age division.
Light lunch and bottled water are provided to each participant. Lunch tickets will be issued at check-in. If your child has special dietary needs, contact the tournament director at 248-437-1495 within one week of the event.
