The Bicycle Motocross track at Waterford Oaks County Park opened May 1 for the 2010 season.
Regular practices are held 4 – 8 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday, May – October. Some practices are held 9 a.m. – noon on Saturday. All ages and skill levels are welcome to attend practices.
“BMX practices are a great opportunity for riders of all levels to hone their skills and to learn from each other,” Matt Pardy, recreation specialist, said.
Cost is $5 per practice. Special practice discounts: $20/5 sessions, or $50/15 sessions. Practices will be held weather permitting.
All riders are required to wear full-face helmet, long pants and long sleeve shirt. Pads and gloves are recommended.Rentals are available: $4/helmet and $6/bike.
The Waterford Oaks County Park BMX Track is located at 1702 Scott Lake Road in Waterford.
