Join acclaimed pops conductor Jack Everly as he teams up with a cappella ensemble, Chapter Six and vocalists N’Kenge, Farah Alvin and Anne Beck for five performances featuring the favorite songs of the 70’s decade in Disco Days and Boogie Nights from Nov. 12-15. The performances, part of the DTE Energy Foundation Pops Series, take place Thurs., Nov. 12 at 10:45 a.m. and 8 p.m.; Fri., Nov. 13 at 8:30 p.m.; Sat., Nov. 14 at 8:30 p.m.; and Sun., Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. at Orchestra Hall.
The program features a wide array of hits and arrangements from the 70’s from film scores to movies themes including The Way We Were, Imagine, YMCA, Bohemian Rhapsody, I Will Survive and many more.
Tickets to Disco Days and Boogie Nights range in price from $19 to $70 with a limited number of box seats available for $100 to $105. Tickets may be purchased at the Max M. Seniors (60 and over) and students with a valid student ID can purchase 50% off RUSH tickets at the box office 90 minutes prior to concerts based on availability. Prize
Four lucky winners will receive two tickets to Disco Days and Boogie Nights at Orchestra Hall. One winner will be picked daily and notified via email. First winner will be chosen November 11, 2009 by 11:59:59 p.m. EST. Second winner will be chosen November 12, 2009 by 11:59:59 p.m. EST. Third Winner will be notified on November 13, 2009 by 11:59:59 p.m. EST. Forth Winner will be notified on November 14, 2009 by 11:59:59 p.m. EST. Winners will be notified by 8 a.m. EST on the day of the concert and will need to respond ASAP.
