This Detroit Mommy’s time has finally come!
First, I was recently invited to be a part of an amazing campaign put together by Office Max and Mom it Forward. The campaign was called A Day Made Better and I helped collect supplies along with another fine Detroit Mommy to give to a deserving teacher. The campaign was a success which resulted in me becoming a Mom it Forward Ambassador for the Detroit Area.
Next, I was chosen by e.l.f cosmetics to host an e.l.f cosmetics party! All that was asked of me in return was to find a few friends to share the cosmetic line with, but you know I’ll be whrrling, blogging and tweeting all about the fabulous event!
Last, but not least, the kicker and ultimate prize arrived in an email just this week, “Your invite to Ford’s Blogger Safety Event in Dearborn, MI on November 5th!”
Now, this may not seem like much to some and really cool by others, but to me this is super spectacular! You might know if you follow my other two blogs, but if you don’t, I’m a huge fan of a blogger that has become a great friend named Jessica Smith and I’ve been following her blog since the beginning, even before, my blogging career ever started.
My blogging foundation started with Jessica Smith. She taught me everything I know and I have grown so much as a blogger because of her. The reason I’m bringing her up when I’m telling you about my trip to Ford is because she set the foundation for companies inviting bloggers to events and I’ll never forget how she and Ford worked together and how we all observed by reading her blog.
For me Ford has been my goal and today I will be taking an invited trip to the Ford headquarters to be educated, meet some executives and other bloggers and add Ford to my growing list of accomplishments.
