On October 31, 2009 at 10 a.m. the Candy Band, a group of rockin’ metro Detroit moms, perform a Halloween concert called Rock O’Ween for children ages 0-6. The performance is 45 minutes long and consists of rock-infused children’s songs.
Candy Band, a local children’s band comprised of four Detroit area stay-at-home moms, was formed in 2003. The group quickly attracted attention from the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, London Times, USA Today, People Magazine, the CBS Early Show and NBC’s Today Show and continues to build an intense local following in the Detroit area and elsewhere. They have played Lollapalooza in Chicago, a Pancake Mountain Dance Party in Washington D.C., the annual Mamapalooza festival in New York City, the Vans Warped Tour in Detroit as well as various libraries, schools, music venues and street fairs.
