I was given the opportunity to review Boogie Wipes, but when they arrived, there weren’t any runny noses in the house, so I held off on the review until I could actually put the nose wipes to the test.
Sure enough, with the seasons starting to change from Summer to Fall, an outbreak of “cold symptoms” have emerged in our house and the Boogie Wipes are coming in handy!
I got two large packs of Boogie Wipes and about two handfuls of travel sized Boogie Wipes
individually packed which are great for sticking in a purse pocket or a child’s pocket in preparation of a runny nose.
The Boogie Wipes I got came in Great Grape (for kids) and Magic Menthol (for adults). They are made with saline and are recommended by pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue.
I remember the last time my girls got a cold the Pediatrician told me to buy a bottle of saline and put drops of it in my children’s noses to ease the tenderness caused by wiping their noses with tissues. I think I’d rather just buy a pack of Boogie Wipes so I have everything in one. Giving a child a quick wipe of the nose is much easier than having them lay down and allow you to put drops of liquid in their noses… yeah right!
One thing I might do to improve the Boogie Wipes is make them perforated, so that if you have a big boogie mess you can use the entire wipe. If you have a small boogie to get rid of a smaller piece can be used, saving the other half for later.
Two thumbs up for Boogie Wipes! Oh and by the way… they are a Mom invented product…should have guessed!
