Most of the time, at baby showers, guests bring gifts for baby. Next time you go to a baby shower, why not give something to the mom-to-be. She needs stuff too and by preparing her hospital bag, you are helping her out tremendously!
Here’s what you’ll need (most of these items can be found in the travel section of your local Target):
- A large tote bag. Choose something cute that mom can use after her trip to the hospital. This bag could be used to tote around stuff for a trip to the beach or be filled up with toys and snacks to entertain baby on a road trip. The key is LARGE because we are going to fill it with all kinds of goodies!
- Cozy socks
- Headband or scrunchie
- Hard candy to help keep your mouth moist
- Lip balm
- Breast feeding supplies: nipple cream and breast pads
- Pen and journal
- Toothbrush. toothpaste and mouthwash
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Body wash and lotion ( Bath and Body Works has great scents in travel sizes)
- Hand sanitizer
- Deodorant
- Razor
- Slippers
- Flip flops for the shower
- Make a “Who to Call List” with blank spaces on your computer
- Thank you cards and envelopes
- Snacks for birthing partner
- Disposable camera
- Nursing nightgown
